THE FARM.......the farm is in total about 150acres, about 40 acres of this is woodland and about 15acres is devoted to the garden and nursery. The rest of the farm is mixed arable land, with all of it down to the Countryside Stewardship Scheme, this means that we actively encourage wildlife by setting aside winter stubbles, sympathetically managing and replanting hedgerows, lightly grazing grassland and even re-sowing wild grass and flower areas. Sheep are kept on the land including a small flock of the native Shetland sheep. We are at present undertaking work to allow more public access through these wildflower areas and hope to extend the number of guided instructional walks we run.
